Which cover to use for which report
The cover should match what the patient paid for. A βΉ2,999 package on the same plain cover as a βΉ150 sugar test undersells your lab.
| Report | Suggested cover | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Full-body or executive health check | Reviewed By, Full Body Ring | Matches the price of the package and shows how much was tested. |
| Diabetes follow-up | Diabetes Care | Patients see their sugar control at a glance. |
| Lipid or cardiac profile | Heart Care | Makes the purpose of the test obvious. |
| Senior-citizen package | Senior Care, Bangla First | Warm and readable for older patients and their families. |
| Women's wellness or antenatal | Women's Wellness | Designed for the package, not a generic cover. |
| Routine walk-in tests | Arch Portrait, Lab Banner | Builds trust in your pathologist and your lab. |
| Copy for the referring doctor | Referring Doctor | Puts your doctor-desk number in front of every doctor. |
Six rules for a lab report people can read
Whatever software you use, these make reports clearer for patients and safer for doctors.
Keep results readable in black and white
Many reports are still printed on office printers or photocopied. Put colour on the cover and in range bars, not in the result values.
Use at least 9β10 pt for results
Older patients read their own reports. Small type is the commonest complaint about lab reports.
Flag abnormal values two ways
Use bold or an H/L marker as well as colour, so flags survive black-and-white printing and colour-blind readers.
Show units and reference ranges on every row
A value without its unit and range is easy to misread, especially when patients compare reports from different labs.
Put the QR where a phone can reach it
Bottom-right of the cover, at least 2 cm wide, with a line of text saying what it opens.
Never let design move clinical content
Signatories, page numbers, sample details and comments stay on the result pages, exactly where your format needs them.
Get any cover with your lab's logo
Pick a cover and tell us about your lab. We'll WhatsApp you a sample report on your branding, free, and show it on your own test format in a demo.
