  • Results: values, units and reference ranges come unchanged from the results your team approves in ClinikPe.
  • Designs: 16 cover designs across doctor-photo, illustrated, health-package, lab-photo and no-photo styles.
  • Languages: Unicode templates, with a Bengali-first bilingual cover; the same approach works for Hindi.
  • Page sizes: A4 and A5, plus Letter and Legal, with a live preview while you edit.
  • Delivery: one PDF for counter print, WhatsApp delivery and a QR code that opens the online copy.

Your report is the only thing from your lab that people keep

A patient sees your counter for two minutes and your report for years. A referring doctor reads dozens of reports a week. Most lab software prints the same plain table for all of them, so a well-run lab looks exactly like the cheapest one down the road.

A clear, branded report is the cheapest brand-building a lab can do. It also cuts the "what does this mean?" calls that keep your front desk busy every evening.

What every lab report must still contain

A beautiful cover is not a reason to drop the basics. ISO 15189, the standard NABL accredits against, expects reports to carry these elements. Smart Reporting keeps them on the result pages.

  • Lab identity. Name and address of the lab that issued the report.
  • Patient identity. Name and a unique identifier on every page.
  • Request and sample. Requesting doctor, sample type, collection and receipt date and time.
  • Results. Each result with its unit of measurement.
  • Reference intervals. Biological reference intervals or clinical decision values, where applicable.
  • Interpretation. Comments where needed, including on sample quality.
  • Release. Who reviewed and released the report, and the release date.
  • Page control. Page numbers with the total, such as page 2 of 6.

Three reports that pay for themselves

The referring-doctor edition

The doctor's name and your doctor-desk number on the cover. Every report a doctor opens reminds them who to call next time, which is exactly what referral tracking measures.

The premium package report

Full-body and wellness packages sell on perceived value. A "Reviewed by" cover on ivory with serif type makes a ₹2,999 package look like one.

The Bengali-first report

Older patients and their families read the summary in their own language, with bilingual labels and the same English result pages for the doctor.

Questions labs ask about Smart Reporting

What is a smart lab report?

A smart lab report is a pathology report designed for the person reading it. It opens with a branded cover, summarises what is in and out of range, presents results in a clear layout with reference ranges, and ends with a closing page. Every value comes straight from the results the lab has approved.

Does Smart Reporting change any test results?

No. It controls presentation only. Values, units and reference ranges come directly from results entered and approved in ClinikPe.

Is a smart report acceptable for NABL labs?

Yes, as long as it carries the elements ISO 15189 expects on a report, such as lab and patient identification, sample details, results with units, reference intervals and who released the report. Smart Reporting adds a cover and summary on top of those elements; you keep your NABL line and signatories.

Can we put our pathologist's photo on the cover?

Yes. Upload the photo to Media in ClinikPe and add the doctor's name and qualification. Several covers are built around a doctor photo; others use your lab's photos or no photo.

Can the report be in Bengali or Hindi?

Yes. Templates support Unicode text, and ClinikPe includes a Bengali-first bilingual cover. The same approach works for Hindi and other Indian languages.

Do patients get the smart report on WhatsApp?

Yes. The same branded PDF prints at the counter, goes out through ClinikPe's WhatsApp report delivery and opens from the QR code on the cover.

Is there a separate version for referring doctors?

Yes. The referring-doctor edition puts the doctor's name and your doctor-desk number on the cover, so your lab stays in front of the doctor every time they open a report.

Which plans include Smart Reporting?

Smart Reporting is available for diagnostic labs on ClinikPe. Book a demo and we'll show it on your letterhead and suggest the plan that fits your lab.
