Analyzer interfacing list: check if your lab analyzer works with ClinikPe

Search the haematology, biochemistry, immunoassay, HbA1c, urine, electrolyte and coagulation analyzers most used in Indian labs. ClinikPe connects analyzers by protocol (ASTM, HL7 or serial), so most instruments with a working LIS output can be interfaced. Tap any model to confirm on WhatsApp.

Not on the list?

Most analyzers with an LIS port can still be connected. Send us the make, model and a photo of the back panel.

Key facts about interfacing analyzers with ClinikPe

  • Approach: by protocol (ASTM, HL7, serial or file), not by brand.
  • Requirement: the analyzer needs a working LIS or host output.
  • Setup: remote, by ClinikPe's team, including test-code mapping. See analyzer integration.
  • Confirmation: every model is checked before setup; there's no charge to ask.

How to get your analyzer connected

Five steps. The first three are on the analyzer side, and doing them early is what makes setup quick.

  1. Check the analyzer has an LIS output

Look for an RS-232 serial port or a LAN port marked LIS, host or data, and for an LIS or host setting in the analyzer's menu.

  2. Get the interface document

Ask the supplier for the LIS or host interface specification. It tells us the protocol, test codes and message format.

  3. Enable the output

The supplier's engineer may need to switch on the LIS output. Some suppliers charge for this; ask before booking.

  4. Connect and map

ClinikPe's team connects remotely and maps each analyzer test code to your ClinikPe test and parameter.

  5. Test with real samples

Run a set of samples and compare analyzer printouts with ClinikPe reports before going live.

Connection types you'll find on lab analyzers

RS-232 serial The classic 9-pin port on many haematology and biochemistry analyzers. Needs a serial cable, or a USB-to-serial adapter, to the PC running ClinikPe's interface.
LAN / TCP-IP A network port. The analyzer and the interface PC sit on the same local network. Common on newer analyzers and HL7 devices.
USB or file export Some instruments write results to a folder or USB drive. ClinikPe can pick these files up if they follow a consistent format.
Middleware Large labs sometimes run vendor middleware between analyzers and the LIS. ClinikPe connects to the middleware instead of each analyzer.

Get your analyzers confirmed

List your analyzers and we'll confirm which can be interfaced, how, and how long setup takes. No charge, no obligation.

Questions about analyzer compatibility

Which analyzers can be interfaced with ClinikPe?

ClinikPe interfaces analyzers by protocol rather than by brand. Most haematology, biochemistry, immunoassay, HbA1c, urine, electrolyte and coagulation analyzers with an ASTM, HL7 or serial LIS output can be connected. Each model is confirmed before setup.

How do I know if my analyzer has an LIS output?

Check the back panel for an RS-232 serial port or a LAN port labelled LIS, host or data, and look for an LIS or host communication setting in the analyzer's menu. The supplier's interface document confirms it.

What is an LIS interface document?

It's the manufacturer's specification of how the analyzer sends data: the protocol (for example ASTM E1394 or HL7), the message layout and the codes used for each test. Ask your supplier for it; it speeds up setup.

Do I need to pay the analyzer supplier to enable interfacing?

Sometimes. Some suppliers enable the LIS output free during installation; others charge for it. Ask before you book setup.

Can semi-automatic analyzers be interfaced?

Some can, if they have a data output. Many semi-automatic biochemistry analyzers only print results, in which case results are entered manually.

My analyzer isn't on the list. Can it still be connected?

Very likely, if it has a working LIS output. Send us the make, model and a photo of the back panel on WhatsApp.
